Marriage, Family and
the Spiritual Path

Sunday, May 24 2026
The Vedas proclaim that the human birth is the rarest of rare opportunities. While all other beings live a life of survival and procreation, a human embodiment alone is suited for spiritual enquiry and evolution. Bereft of spiritual education, one remains complacent with wealth accumulation and pleasure hunting. With the hope of securing happiness, one engages in work, business, marriage, partner, children, family, society etc. Alas, they turn into a whilepool swalloing time, effort and life, leaving spiritually bankrupt, seldom realised even at the last breath.

The talk presents the Vedic prescription to direct and convert your worldly obligations into spiritual purification. It clears the myth that work, marriage and children are obstacles to spiritual evolution. Contrarily, upholds the indespensible roles played by them in one’s spiritual fortification.

योगरतोवा भोगरतोवा सङ्गरतोवा सङ्गविहीनः ।यस्य ब्रह्मणि रमते चित्तंनन्दति नन्दति नन्दत्येव ॥
It does not matter, whether you are in spiritual process or enjoying sensory pleasures, whether your are in company of people or in solitude, one whose mind revels in Brahman, he excels, he excels, he truly excels.
